Ministerial Visit Highlights Narayan Foods' Commitment to Innovation and Growth

On Tuesday, January 25th, Narayan Foods had the distinct honor of hosting a delegation from the Slovenian government and local authorities at our production facility. The visit was part of a tour of the Posavje region, aimed at understanding the progress of major investments and plans for future growth. Our guests included prominent figures such as:

  • Zdravko Počivalšek, Minister for Economic Development and Technology

  • Jernej Salecl, Director General of the Directorate for Internationalization, Entrepreneurship, and Technology

  • Mag. Andrej Vizjak, Minister for Environment and Spatial Planning

  • Ivan Molan, Mayor of Brežice

  • Jure Pezdirc, Deputy Mayor of Brežice

Tour of Production Facilities and Investment Overview

The delegation's visit began with a comprehensive tour of our new production areas, where they had the opportunity to see firsthand the successful implementation of a multi-million euro investment. This investment includes the adaptation of existing spaces and the introduction of a state-of-the-art automated oil filling line equipped with artificial intelligence elements, as well as an expanded line for filling plant-based creams and butter. This ambitious project, valued at 7.7 million euros (including VAT), is set to significantly enhance our production capacity and efficiency. Through funding from the Regional Development Fund, Narayan Foods will receive an investment incentive of 2.8 million euros to support this expansion.

Commitment to Growth and Sustainability

During the tour, our CEO, Mario Brumat, explained the broader impact of this investment:

“This investment allows us to expand our capacities, drive further growth, create new jobs, increase exports, and improve profitability.”

The delegation was also briefed on Narayan Foods' future plans. Our company, which exports 95% of its production to more than 30 markets across the EU and the USA, is working towards establishing the largest vertically integrated "seed-to-table" platform for plant-based food in Europe. This platform aims to connect various stages of the supply chain, including research and development, regional raw material production, ingredient manufacturing, final product production and global marketing, sales, and distribution.

Tasting Plant-Based Innovations

The visit concluded with a tasting session featuring our latest plant-based meat products. This gave the delegation a chance to experience the quality and innovation behind our products, which are free from additives and added sugars, offering a quick and healthy solution for today's consumers. The tasting session highlighted our commitment to providing delicious, nutritious, and environmentally friendly food options.

A Successful Visit and a Bright Future

We are grateful for the opportunity to share our vision and achievements with such a distinguished group of visitors. Their interest and support are invaluable as we continue to push the boundaries of innovation and sustainability in the food industry.

Narayan Foods remains dedicated to driving forward the plant-based revolution and setting new standards in food production. We look forward to continuing our journey towards a healthier, more sustainable future for all.
